Dodger
Meet Dodger – The Mini Bull Terrier with a Big Heart
Say hello to Dodger – a dinky little Bull Terrier boy who’s had a rough start but is ready for his happily ever after. Found as a stray and having been in foster, Dodger is now looking for a forever home full of love, patience, and and active family who can take him on adventures.
Despite the unknowns in his past, Dodger has shown nothing but friendliness and a sweet nature since coming into rescue. He happily greeted strangers and enjoyed a gentle walk, stopping every few minutes to lean in for a fuss. He’s affectionate, charming, and clearly longing for his own people.
Temperament & Personality
Dodger is a gentle little lad who “plods” along on walks and isn’t phased by traffic or people. He has no known issues with food and is happy to let you handle his ears, eyes, and paws. He has some over-excitement when seeing other dogs — he spins and whines — but this seems more about frustration than aggression.
He has shown signs of resource guarding when it comes to the sofa and will need some firm boundaries. He is fully crate trained.
Health
Dodger has entropion, a painful eye condition where the eyelid rolls inward. He has already had surgery for this and has made a great recovery but any new adopters need to be aware of this. Apart from that, he’s in good health for a young dog and has been vaccinated.
Training & Socialisation
Dodger has been to training classes but as a typical Bull Terrier he was a little stubborn with this. Any new adopters will need to ensure they are able to continue training and keep him active. It will be a slow process but very rewarding
Dodger Would Suit:
✅ A calm or active home — he’s adaptable
✅ Someone home often to help him settle and decompress
✅ A home as the only dog
✅ A patient adopter happy to give him time, structure, firm boundaries and all the attention he deserves
