Badgers' Legacy
This one is a tough one to sit and go through but is an important one for why Universal Bull Terrier Rescue do what we do! This utterly handsome guy came to Universal fighting for his life after being kept in a prison cell by the police.

Badger's Story
He had been tortured and abused by his previous owner, with a large, infected open wound. His penis had been removed by butchers and his skin was brittle and burnt.
With wounds like these, it’s was a long road for Badger; but he was a little warrior and with care, love and medical treatment paid for by his fabulous “Dog Parents”, he made a fantastic recovery.

Badger remained a sanctuary dog with Universal for the rest of his days and after he passed away peacefully at Christmas 2020, we the Universal Team, decided it was only fitting to honour his memory with something that would live on, something that would reflect Badgers true spirit.
Badger's Legacy
Badgers Legacy is a trust fund managed by Universal Bull Terrier Rescue; it is their responsibility to ensure that the trust is solvent and managed correctly.

The trust has been established to provide a lifeline for Bull Terriers with extreme medical needs, no matter what the circumstances. Each application for assistance will be reviewed and carefully considered on a case by case basis. The aim is to have one grant awarded each month being paid directly to the Veterinary Practice treating the dog.
